Providing a home away from home for kids with cancer
We are participating in Talk Like a Pirate Day to help raise funds for Childhood Cancer Support. Talk Like a Pirate Day raises funds to provide free accommodation and support services to regional childhood cancer families while receiving treatment away from home.
Consider it a pre-emptive swear-jar for milder, nautical themed parlance. Whilst we'll take any excuse to talk weird without being judged, supporting a worthy cause is an added boon. No fundraising goal here, just a way to help some worthy folk if your circumstances permit. Arrggh.
